Removed a disappointly small amount of code associated with the obsolete
namePos. No review.

Removed more than 3400 svn '$Id' keywords and related junk.

As a brief diversion from real work, implemented Damerau–Levenshtein
and ran it on trunk to elicit obvious misspellings. Unfortunately
they're mostly in places like compiler comments which real people never
see, but I fixed them anyway. All those English Lit majors who peruse
our sources are sure to be pleased. No review.

Created directory for code which is most likely dead but we want to keep
around a while in case someone else is using it. It's called src/attic
and now it holds four files. Motivations: such files cloud my attempts
to figure out what code in the compiler is really being used, they
require effort to maintain across changes, and they slow down every
build a fraction. Revew by community.
